Sheet Music Now Announces the Passing of CEO Kim Lorz

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Kim Lorz, longtime CEO of Sheet Music Now.

Kim was a driving force behind Sheet Music Now and spent decades working to make sheet music more accessible to musicians around the world. His vision, curiosity, and deep commitment to the music publishing community helped shape our company and the work we continue to do today.

Those who had the opportunity to work with Kim knew him as much for the person he was as for the work he accomplished. He was thoughtful, funny, unconventional, fiercely loyal, and deeply trusting of the people around him. He built lasting relationships with publishers, colleagues, and partners throughout the industry, many of whom became friends.

Kim believed strongly in Sheet Music Now, in the value of the music we help make available, and in the people who make that work possible. His influence is woven into this company, and his absence is deeply felt by all of us who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Sheet Music Now will continue its work with enormous gratitude for the foundation Kim built and the values he brought to it.

We extend our deepest condolences to Kim’s family, friends, colleagues, and everyone whose life was touched by him. He will be greatly missed.
