2013 Brit Awards: A Recap
The 2013 Brit Awards celebrated a great year of music on Wednesday night. Justin Timberlake performed his new hit “Mirrors” for the first time, and Taylor Swift hit the stage with “I Knew You Were Trouble.” One Direction performed “One Way or Another,” and later, they accepted the award for Global Success.
Emeli Sandé swept the ceremony on Wednesday picking up awards for Female Solo Artist and Album of the Year for “Our Version of Events.” Ben Howard also took home two awards, one for Breakthrough Act and another for Male Solo Artist. Lana Del Rey, Frank Ocean and the Black Keys represented American musicians, taking home one win each in the international categories.
